The BMW Z8 is a timeless tribute to the 507, blending classic 1950s proportions with the raw power of a 4.9L V8. For this project, our challenge was to modernize the vehicle's acoustic experience without altering the iconic Henrik Fisker-designed interior. We focused on a "stealth" approach that delivers high-fidelity sound while preserving the Z8’s collector-grade integrity.

• Acoustic Engineering: We replaced the aging factory speakers with high-performance components housed in custom-engineered baffles. These were designed to fit precisely behind the original OEM grilles, ensuring the dashboard and door panels remain completely stock in appearance.

• Modern Connectivity: To bring the Z8 into the modern era, we integrated a hidden Alpine Single-DIN head unit that enables Bluetooth connectivity.

• Seamless Power: A compact, high-efficiency multi-channel amplifier was concealed within the trunk’s tool storage area. This provides the necessary headroom to overcome wind noise during top-down driving without sacrificing precious cargo space.

• Precision Tuning: The system was professionally tuned using RTA (Real-Time Analysis) to account for the unique cabin geometry of the Z8, resulting in a balanced soundstage that places the "vocalist" right in the center of the hood.
